PONDOK AYU - BALI SANUR ACCOMMODATION

Hi Barbara,

I wanted to write to give my thanks and gratitude to you for enabling my family to have such a wonderful holiday. The 13 nights we stayed at Pondok Ayu were magical.

Yes the grounds and rooms were spotless (impeccably spotless!), yes the neighbouring children and families were delightful and yes the little finishing touches on things were special but it was the staff - every last one of them Gede, Made, Putu, Kadeck, Wyan, Gustu, \"The Pool Man\", the gardener and the security staff that made our holiday so memorable. It was the time each staff member gave to our children answering their many questions, the honesty when we accidently threw out some money, the spot on advice to local restaurants, money changer, tours, material shops.....their generosity in sharing and explaining their beliefs and customs I could go on and on.

We primarily chose Pondok Ayu as we wanted the children to feel safe and hopefully see consistent faces, we went overseas to meet people from another country and culture not to put the children in \"Kid\'s Club\" to play with a group of fellow australians!. Our wish was granted, my eldest\'s favourite memory is \"Gede\" plain and simple, my middle daughter said \"meeting all those new friends\", talking about the neighbouring children they played with in the lane including Cintia! and our youngest felt comfortable to talk with everyone she met within Pondok.

So thank you Barbara, I don\'t doubt you are aware of how special your staff are but wanted to share our thoughts.

I have attached some photos of Kadeck\'s daughter I would be grateful if you could pass on and one of our girl\'s on Christmas night - Made and Kadeck helped to dress them in their new sarongs another highlight of the stay!

We felt like we were at our home. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The place was so quite and calm. Best suitable for family stay.

We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward for our next holiday trip to Bali.

We stayed at Pondok Ayu for nearly 3 weeks in November 2009. We had 5 star service by Gede, Made, Kadek, Putu, Wayan and Gusto they were warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We had a wonderful time and hope to return within the next year or so if we can get a booking. Thank you Barbara and Steve for a memorable stay at Pondok Ayu.

We stayed at Pondok 8th August through to the 13th. What a great place. The staff are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are immaculate and the service fantastic. We left her to go to a large hotel in Legian and wished we had stayed put.

Even though it is away from the hub of Sanur it was never a problem getting in, Gede would make sure of that. We look forward to a return visit next year.

Hi Barb,

Just got back from Bali and wanted to let you know about our wonderful stay at Pondok Ayu while it’s all still very fresh in our minds.

Everything of course was just great and our room was simply lovely and kept spotlessly clean.
I particularly liked the accomodations surrounding the very inviting pool and enjoyed talking to the handful of guests at the communal breakfast table each morning.

Pondok Ayu’s greatest asset is of course your excellent team. Gede,Made,Putu and the whole crew are just wonderful and are the main reason our stay at Pondok Ayu was such a triumph.

With Gede dropping us off and picking us up all over Sanur (he even took us to 4 different pharmacies looking for a medicine)and Made and the girls taking care of the little things back home right down to special breakfast requests, no stone was left unturned when it came to our happiness.

The difference between a good stay and a great stay are the small things and Pondok Ayu does them in abundance.

We will most definitely return.
